About The Position

The McGill RISE3 Implementation Science Lab, led by Dr. Guillaume Fontaine, is seeking a part-time Research Assistant 1 to support the AI Methods for Implementation Science (AIM-IS) program. The AIM-IS program aims to develop a framework, toolkit, and reporting standard for the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in implementation practice and research. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant work at the intersection of implementation science, AI, and methodology. The Research Assistant 1 will support ongoing and upcoming research projects under the supervision of Assistant Professor Guillaume Fontaine.

Requirements

  • MSc in a health-related discipline (e.g., Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing) or Social Sciences (e.g., Sociology, Psychology)
  • Experience in qualitative research methods
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
  • Level 4 English proficiency (on a scale of 0-4).

  • Experience in knowledge synthesis methods is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening of articles to identify relevant resources, employing defined inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Extract and manage data from selected articles, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Evaluate the quality of included studies and prepare summaries of findings.
  • Assist in the planning and design of research projects, including the development of methodologies and protocols.
  • Coordinate communication between project stakeholders, team members, and external partners.
  • Track project progress and ensure that milestones and objectives are met timely and efficiently.
  • Assist in writing research papers, reports, and proposals, ensuring clarity, coherence, and compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Review and edit documents, making necessary revisions to enhance quality and accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit manuscripts to journals, handling correspondence during the submission and review process.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, findings, and outcomes.
  • Organize meetings, seminars, and workshops, managing invitations and logistics.
  • Prepare periodic reports detailing project status, challenges, and achievements.
  • Assist in data collection processes, ensuring ethical considerations and quality standards are upheld.
  • Ensure data security, confidentiality, and integrity, adhering to data management policies.
