The Hunt Library at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) invites applications for the position of Research and Instruction Librarian. This role serves a diverse population of residential and online students and focuses on providing research consultations, instruction, developing information literacy, and engaging in creative partnerships with faculty through liaison relationships. The successful candidate will join the Hunt Library, serving Daytona Beach and our Worldwide Campus of online students, working regular business hours including nights and weekends. This professional staff position reports to the Associate Director for Research and Instruction Services. Hunt Library is a forward-thinking, technologically advanced library organization on the Ex Libris ALMA ILS and offering a robust range of electronic collections and integrated library software. Duties include working as part of a team providing reference services in-person, virtual, and electronic modes, developing online learning objects, sharing in synchronous and asynchronous library instruction, and participating in collaborative team and cross-departmental assignments and special projects. No aviation or aerospace background is required; librarians from a wide variety of academic disciplines are welcome. Growing the research presence and agenda is at the heart of the ERAU strategic plan, and Hunt Library provides an excellent opportunity for librarians who want to engage with the development of research skills among undergraduate and graduate students. Recent graduates and mid-career librarians are encouraged to apply.
