About The Position
The Research and Development (R&D) Intern-Summer 2027 will help the analytical group to do bench top chemistry testing following standardized industry methods. Valvoline Global Operations Americas Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer candidates willing to work an in-office work schedule.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Related Engineering college program.
- Good teamwork mentality
- Good communication skills.
- Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40lbs.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Following Valvoline RC 14001 rules to perform job safely.
- Following Valvoline ISO 9001 quality practices.
- Getting familiar with our VLIMS system to collect and record data.
- Performing bench top testing required for engine oils according to ASTM methods.
- Performing data analysis and communication with fleet stake holders.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
