About The Position

Glenmede is seeking a Research Analyst to join its Equity Research team, supporting the fundamental research process for small cap, mid cap, and SMID cap equity portfolios. This role will support Co-Portfolio Managers within a modern, technology-augmented research structure. The Research Analyst will act as the primary interface between quantitative screening tools, AI-generated research inputs, and the portfolio managers responsible for primary research, macro-oversight, and portfolio construction. The ideal candidate will possess investment research experience, a rigorous approach to market analysis, and the ability to work alongside AI analytical tools to generate faster and more effective investment insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in equity research, investment management, or a related investment role.
  • Solid grounding in fundamental research, including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and valuation.
  • Familiarity with the small cap and/or mid cap investment universe.
  • Proficiency with FactSet and/or Bloomberg.
  • Comfort working with AI tools and a genuine interest in how technology is reshaping the investment research process.

Nice To Haves

  • CFA designation or active CFA candidate.
  • Experience with Python or other data and analytics tools for research or screening applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AI platforms (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) in a professional research or analytical context.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely for senior decision-makers.
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative by nature, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the team's primary operator of AI research tools, including Claude-based workflows, structuring inputs, evaluating outputs, and translating AI-generated analysis into actionable research insights.
  • Maintain and refine FactSet-based screening models to systematically identify investment candidates across the small cap and mid cap universe, incorporating factor- and theme-level market analysis.
  • Conduct factor- and theme-level analysis of market dynamics, including investor positioning, factor exposure impacts, and thematic trends, and help identify long/short thematic and basket trade opportunities surfaced through AI agent analysis.
  • Deliver timely, well-synthesized information to support portfolio manager decision-making, monitoring holdings, market developments, and sector news with an emphasis on speed and clarity.
  • Engage with AI-generated variant views and investment personas to stress-test consensus thinking and surface differentiated perspectives.
  • Actively participate in investment team meetings to develop fundamental research capabilities and deepen sector and market knowledge.
  • Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve research workflows, expand the team's analytical toolkit, and enhance the integration of AI tools into the investment process.
