About The Position

The Research Analyst is responsible for investment manager due diligence, education and support, as well as the analysis of designated markets. You will also assist in selecting, evaluating, and monitoring external investment managers. FEG is an independently owned advisory firm that provides investment consulting, outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO), and research services to predominantly institutional clients, such as university endowments, private and public foundations, religious organizations, healthcare institutions, corporate retirement plans, and select family offices. Founded in 1988, FEG has served communities both directly and by helping our clients fulfill their missions, for over 35 years. FEG employs 140+ professionals across offices in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dallas, Texas, and Indianapolis, Indiana, with approximately $100.4 billion in client assets under advisement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, progress toward CFA or similar designation preferred
  • 1-3 years of work experience
  • Experienced in AI, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Investment Systems (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg)
  • High attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with guidance
  • Engage collaboratively with clients, investment teams, and peers
  • Enjoy working in and learning about the investment industry

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investment manager due diligence in collaboration with colleagues
  • Participate actively in manager meetings and assess those managers for investment
  • Support advisors and respond to internal requests
  • Maintain research databases, models, and internal systems
  • Analyze market trends and contribute to asset class commentary
  • Begin developing asset class expertise
  • Produce sections of research reports, memos, presentations, and research publications
