About The Position

Carrie Wang will assist my postdoc Dr. Anton-Grabo-Tomich with performing chemical reactions, doing electrode making, battery coin-cell assembly, battery testing and data analysis of said data. These reactions are associated with making cathode active material (CAM) in the laboratory.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.
  • Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months.
  • Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
  • Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
  • Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Knowledge of chemical synthesis is required.
  • Knowledge of the math needed to balance chemical reactions is expected.
  • Understanding of stoichiometries and weights, volumes, and moles associated with reaction set-up is important.
  • Experience in applying math to such reactions is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment is needed.
  • Ability to perform data analysis on battery data is needed.
