About The Position

Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Review, negotiate and process non-disclosure agreements. Review, negotiate and process industry sponsored clinical trial agreements and investigator-initiated clinical trial agreements with private agencies (to include negotiation of the study budget) when requested. Review, negotiate and process material transfer agreements and associated documents. Review, negotiate and process data sharing and data user agreements. Review, negotiate and process subaward agreements, and miscellaneous agreements. Create folders, file all documents related to MTAs, NDAs/CDAs, CTAs, and DU As on the shared drive. Communicate and collaborate with institutions, industry sponsors, and internal Pls and their teams ( or other interested parties) to ensure proper execution of assigned agreements. Assist with non-financial post award management in all assigned areas. Review and approve Budget Revision (BR) requests for all CT As. Review and approve New Fund (NF) requests for all CTAs. Administers and ensures proper routing of all research agreements for reviews and institutional approvals through the ASC Contracting System. Responsible for researching and reviewing all expiring contracts found in the ASC contracting system. Prepare and distribute startup invoices for all CTAs. Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliance and training requirements for this position. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.). Personally, and consistently, demonstrate, display and act in accordance with Texas Tech Health El Paso's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to perform as a responsive, proactive, and dedicated professional who is able to provide administrative oversight to the contracting process.
• Proficient in computer applications used for word processing, presentation, publication, spreadsheet, database.
• Contracting experience or knowledge of contract law, research trends in academic health centers and federal and state regulatory guidelines.
• Experience reviewing and creating budgets for externally funded projects.
• Ability to communicate with external sponsors.
• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience OR Combination of education and experience to equal 6 years.

• Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.
