About The Position

The Day Habilitation Supervisor must maintain professional and ongoing communication with staff, individuals, and advocates to ensure delivery of quality services. Requirements

  • OPWDD Fingerprint and Background Clearance; SCO Clearances
  • Bachelor of Arts in the Human Service Field
  • Extensive knowledge of HCBS Waiver Services.
  • Must possess extremely well-developed social and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with team members.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance.
  • Willingness to drive within the community and is flexible with work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the daily operations at The Center, site-based day habilitation location.
  • Interview, screen, and evaluate day habilitation staff.
  • Hire, train, and provide oversight to staff and contracted direct care.
  • Develop productive and stimulating day habilitation services within the community and site-based location
  • Maintain ongoing communication with staff and families to ensure satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Provides staffing coverage when staff are absent or on vacation.
  • Intervene between individuals and staff if issues occur.
  • Attend case reviews in a professional manner.
  • Attend individual screenings.
  • Review and complete Day Habilitation Plans every six months.
  • Review and monitor progress notes and monthly summaries in the site-based setting as well as review the following documentation; Fire Drills, contracts with vendors, billing and all other site documentation.
  • Review staff expenses sheets and submit them accordingly.
  • Ensure staff are enrolled in required training courses
  • Maintain accurate case records by OPWDD regulations and standards.
  • Supervises and works directly with assistant supervisor to ensure daily operations
  • Manage fleet of vehicles at site including scheduling of maintenance.
  • Conduct fire drills and oversight of facility maintenance
  • Completion of employee evaluations and regular supervisions
  • Payroll & Oversight of the Interoffice Mail Run
  • Perform all other duties assigned by leadership
