About The Position

Are you interested in taking ground-breaking concepts and turning them into ambitious new capabilities that solve the most vexing integrated defense problems of our nation? If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL! We are seeking systems engineers to help conceive, define and evaluate system of system requirements for operational applications. We need people who can apply a wide range of modeling, simulation and analytical tools to advance our understanding of sensor, network, combat system and missile performance. We are particularly interested in engineers familiar with digital engineering tools and practices to quickly evolve agile new concepts for rapid deployment to our customers.

Requirements

  • Have a BS degree in systems engineering, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other related technical degree.
  • Have at least 3 years of professional experience performing systems engineering in system concept development, requirements analysis, or systems architecting.
  • Possess the knowledge of the full lifecycle systems engineering processes.
  • Possess strong speaking and writing skills.
  • Are able to organize tasks, collaborate with others and coordinate your work across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Are willing and able to travel periodically, including short duration visits to sponsor offices and supporting contractor sites.
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
