The Texas Freedom Network (TFN) seeks a part-time Reproductive Freedom Congregation Organizer (RFCO) based in Texas for its Just Texas program. TFN is a statewide non-partisan, grassroots organization that is building an informed and effective movement working toward equality and social justice. Just Texas is a program of TFN that engages progressive faith voices in public policy to formulate and advocate a faith-based response to the religious right’s policy agenda. The RFCO will focus on strengthening the Reproductive Freedom Congregation initiative, a movement to eradicate stigma around abortion and reproductive freedom in Texas one congregation at a time. This is a part-time position working an average of 20-25 hours per week. The primary responsibilities of the RFCO will be to build and maintain relationships with our growing network of Reproductive Freedom Congregations, data gathering and collection, and Just Texas outreach support. The RFCO should be passionate about reproductive justice, religious freedom, and faith-based organizing. The RFCO will report directly to the Organizing Director and assist the Just Texas Manager. This is a predominantly remote position, with an expectation of local travel within their city (region) when applicable.
