About The Position

As a Representative Payee with EPI, you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals maintain financial stability, access essential benefits, and achieve greater independence. This position combines financial oversight, advocacy, and personalized support, ensuring those we serve can successfully manage their resources, meet financial obligations, and maintain eligibility for critical assistance programs. Through collaborative partnerships with clients, guardians, support teams, and community agencies, you will help create stability, opportunity, and peace of mind. In this role, you'll navigate public assistance programs, develop individualized budgets, manage financial obligations, and serve as a liaison between individuals and community resources. Your attention to detail and commitment to service will help ensure the people we support have the financial resources and benefits they need to thrive.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn agency-specific software.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals, guardians, community agencies, and internal teams.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to pass required background checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with budgeting, financial recordkeeping, public assistance programs, accounting support, or related administrative responsibilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Help individuals maintain access to Social Security, Medicaid, SNAP, and other essential benefits.
  • Develop and manage individualized budgets that support financial stability and independence.
  • Process bill payments and other financial obligations on behalf of clients.
  • Serve as a liaison between individuals, guardians, community agencies, and benefit providers.
  • Monitor financial records and account balances to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide financial planning support, resources, and guidance to clients and support teams.
