About The Position

Responsible for various activities related to the patient registration process, collection of demographic, financial and insurance information. Screens patients prior to services being rendered, collects co-pays, and refers Self Pay patients to appropriate financial services when needed. Enters data accurately and ensures prompt service to all patients. Acts as a liaison for other ancillary departments within the hospital.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of previous work-related experience
  • Communication skills needed to frequently answer telephone calls and work with multiple interruptions and still sustain positive communication

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
