About The Position

Quincaillerie Richelieu is seeking an Industrial Sales Representative for the ESTRIE & CENTRE DU QUÉBEC territory. Reporting to the Sales Director, Industrial Division, the incumbent will be responsible for developing sales in their territory, establishing and maintaining lasting business relationships with clients and prospects, and actively contributing to the company's growth. The role involves promoting a range of specialized materials for cabinetmakers, furniture manufacturers, the RV industry, and contractors, including melamine panels, particleboard, MDF, plywood, hardwood, laminates, solid surfaces, and more.

Requirements

  • Must reside in the sales region: Estrie and Centre du Québec.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales or representation.
  • High school diploma completed, combined with relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and rigor.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting business relationships.
  • Excellent proficiency in computer software: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team.
  • Strong focus on results and customer service.
  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • Bilingualism in French/English, spoken and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hardware or cabinetmaking-related products (important asset).
  • A college diploma is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients in your territory.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop sales and promote the full range of products in the assigned territory.
  • Coordinate and lead presentation meetings (Lunch and Learn) with clients.
  • Ensure proper distribution of samples to clients.
  • Participate in industry corporate events.
  • Produce visit reports and update client files in the CRM.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding product changes, pricing, or improvements.
  • Work closely with the internal team to ensure order processing and delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business development strategy and marketing plan.
