About The Position

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Sales and Service Representative – Drilling Tools (TSSR) for their Val-d'Or office, covering the Abitibi territory. This field role involves supporting a growing customer base in Eastern Canada by providing on-site technical expertise, optimizing drilling tool performance, and representing a globally recognized brand. The TSSR will work closely with mine site personnel to enhance productivity, extend tool life, and help clients achieve the lowest total cost of operation. Requirements

  • Technical training or practical experience in mining, drilling, or related industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently in remote environments while managing a large territory.
  • Valid driver's license and availability for frequent travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with drilling tools, drilling applications, or DTH, Top Hammer, or Rotary systems.
  • Experience in technical sales or field service.
  • Modular Mining Worker Training (MMWT).
  • Valid explosives permit.
  • Bilingualism in French/English.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Sandvik drilling tools, consumables, and service solutions within an assigned territory.
  • Provide high-quality on-site technical support, including troubleshooting, optimization, and performance analysis.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with operators, supervisors, and managers at mine sites.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend solutions that improve safety, productivity, and tool life.
  • Maintain existing business relationships while actively developing new opportunities.
  • Utilize Sandvik digital tools and reporting systems to gather performance data and business intelligence.
  • Plan weekly and monthly activities to achieve service excellence and commercial objectives.
  • Develop new opportunities across the Eastern Canada territory.
  • Support continuous improvement by relaying customer feedback and market trends to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional value and optimal operational support.
