The MIT Technology Review is seeking a Reporter to join their award-winning team. The role involves making the Technology Review a must-read by combining scoops, deep enterprise reporting, timely stories about major news events, and sharp analysis. The reporter will bring curiosity and rigor to their work, producing a steady stream of stories that break news and cover major events on their assigned beat, including incremental news, scoops, and enterprise coverage. Responsibilities include pitching a mix of shorter and feature stories for the magazine, writing in a clear, engaging, insightful, and compelling way, and making skilled and creative use of storytelling techniques, including digital media. The reporter will be an original thinker in their topic area, proposing new approaches and themes for coverage. They will work closely with colleagues in other departments, such as events, and oversee other content relevant to their coverage area, ensuring the highest journalistic standards. The role also involves playing a part in the conception, planning, and assigning of themed print issues within their beat and representing MITTR at conferences and to target audiences or communities.
