About The Position

Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra is seeking an individual with a comprehensive understanding of television news production and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. This role involves creating compelling news stories for various formats, including shooting, recording, and editing video, audio, and images using professional software. The individual will also be responsible for writing and editing daily stories, gathering material for rundowns, conducting interviews, performing investigations, and observing events to collect information. Content will be published and promoted across websites, social media, and broadcast channels, with an emphasis on using social media for updates and engagement. The position requires covering live events, breaking news, and urgent situations, often with little notice, and staying informed on current events in New England. Occasional participation in community events and station activities as a master of ceremonies or host is also expected. The Reporter/MMJ will assist producers in establishing sources, executing enterprise news investigations, and maintaining a strong list of story ideas.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Reporter and in news writing
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a TV news operation
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Bilingual: (English/Spanish) required both written and verbal

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 news environment in addition to standard hours.
• Must be willing to work in Hartford, CT
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overnights

• This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite

Responsibilities
