About The Position

The Report Analyst - Shared Services works in partnership with Shared Services leadership, business stakeholders, and Technology teams to deliver accurate, actionable reporting and analytics. This position is responsible for end-to-end report development, including gathering business requirements, sourcing and validating data from enterprise platforms such as Snowflake, developing SQL-based queries and data logic, and creating Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data visualizations that support operational decision-making, process improvement, and leadership insight. This position has the ability to work remotely in any of the 40+ States in which TDS operates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Hands-on report, query, dashboard, or analytical development using SQL, Power BI, or comparable BI tools
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into reporting solutions
  • Experience validating, reconciling, or troubleshooting data and report outputs
  • Effective communication with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Proficient with data discovery, data mining, and creating correlations
  • Knowledge of relational database management system concepts.
  • Solid understanding of MS Excel, Access and/or peripheral data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, SAP ECC, SAP BW, Sabre, Business Objects, or comparable reporting and enterprise data platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to write, troubleshoot, and validate SQL queries used for reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis.
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards, data models, DAX measures, report visuals, and refresh processes.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake data structures, data transformations, reporting views, data validation, and source-to-report documentation.
  • Compliance knowledge and awareness of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and their impact on financial reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of testing concepts and ability to execute testing at the unit level.
  • Holistic and proactive approach towards change, process improvement, and execution of job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize BI tools, including Power BI, to design, construct, test, deploy, and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations for Shared Services.
  • Translate business requirements into report specifications, data models, and visual reporting solutions that clearly communicate trends, exceptions, performance drivers, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, DAX measures, refresh schedules, and workspace content to support accurate and actionable reporting.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL-based report logic, joins, transformations, and data extracts to support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Maintain Power BI content for Shared Services, including report updates, refresh monitoring, user access coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and assist users with reporting and analytics and tools, including ad hoc reporting.
  • Work with Shared Services leadership team to establish a strategy for reporting.
  • Ensure applicable enterprise-wide data standards, governance practices, policies, and reporting processes are executed and observed.
  • Document data sources, business definitions, report logic, data dictionaries, lineage, and source-to-report traceability for reports and dashboards.
  • Use Snowflake and SQL to source, transform, validate, and reconcile data used in recurring and ad hoc reports, ensuring report outputs are complete, accurate, and traceable to approved data sources.
  • Troubleshoot issues reported by users to correct report defects/anomalies.
  • Support reporting governance and internal control expectations, including SOX/ICAS awareness where reports are used to support financial, operational, or compliance activities.
  • Work in partnership with software developers, data developers, 3rd party vendors and other stakeholders to deliver high quality intelligence products.
  • Maintain open communications and relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Work with management team to prioritize reporting requests by need for each area of operations.
  • Provide report training and/or other ad-hoc assistance to shared services team members.
  • Develop and continue to enhance knowledge and expertise in BI via training/education
