About The Position

DVSport, Inc. is seeking a Replay Technology Coordinator (RTC) to serve as the onsite technical expert for their video review solutions during Big Ten home volleyball games at the University of Nebraska. This part-time, seasonal role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of video acquisition and real-time troubleshooting, acting as a liaison between broadcast production and officiating decisions. The position involves setting up cameras, validating systems, acquiring video feeds, troubleshooting issues collaboratively, monitoring performance, and managing post-game logistics. Additionally, there are opportunities for involvement in hardware maintenance, testing new technologies, and providing support for extended calendar events like postseason tournaments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in broadcast engineering, AV systems, or IT networking.
  • Understanding of video signal flow (SDI, IP, HDMI).
  • Understanding of basic networking protocols.
  • Availability for the entire home game schedule.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor and solve technical issues in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate various stakeholders, from broadcast directors to conference officials.

Responsibilities

  • Set up eight static cameras around the volleyball court (six on end lines, sidelines, and attack lines; two on net poles).
  • Set up and test the DVSport Replay System.
  • Patch and verify all incoming video feeds from broadcast and static cameras into the DVSport Replay System.
  • Partner with DVSport, broadcast, Conference, and school staff to troubleshoot and resolve any solution discrepancies.
  • Document all system checks and performance benchmarks following a pre-game checklist.
  • Proactively monitor DVSport solutions during the game to ensure 100% uptime and optimal performance.
  • Oversee the secure teardown and storage of equipment and submit a comprehensive Game Day Performance Report.
  • Assist with targeted repairs, hardware swaps, or preventative maintenance of DVSport equipment outside of the standard game day window as needed.
  • Participate in the deployment and field-testing of new DVSport technologies and software enhancements.
  • Provide technical coverage for non-standard events, including exhibitions and high-stakes postseason matchups (Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament).

Benefits
