About The Position

Join Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Engine Center and help power the future of flight. As a Repairman, you'll play a critical role in the maintenance, repair, assembly, and testing of turbine engines and engine components that support commercial and military aviation worldwide. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented aerospace manufacturing environment, you'll perform precision repair operations using specialized tools, fixtures, and technical data while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. This is a Weekend position: Friday – Sunday 6:30am – 7pm

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant (P) Certificate
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
  • Experience performing engine overhaul, repair, or maintenance in an aerospace, aviation, military, or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on repair of turbine engine components and accessories, including drilling, fastener removal, blending, insert installation, and silicone repairs.
  • Utilize hand tools, specialized tooling, fixtures, and approved technical data to support engine assembly, disassembly, repair, and test operations.
  • Interpret and follow work instructions, engineering specifications, and quality requirements to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct required self-inspections and peer inspections to verify compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Support Safety, Quality, and Delivery (SQD) objectives by adhering to established processes, maintaining a clean work area, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and deliver high-quality products to customers.
