About The Position

The Repair Technician is responsible for using tools and diagnostic equipment to repair customer-supplied products accurately and professionally. This role involves prioritizing repair jobs, maintaining the job board with accurate status updates, and contributing to department goals. The technician will perform high-reliability soldering, adhere to ESD guidelines, and utilize company programs for recording repair notes. Additionally, the role includes assisting other departments with technical information and troubleshooting, evaluating customer requests, maintaining repair records, and procuring necessary parts and tools to enhance productivity. Adherence to safety rules and participation in meetings as a department representative are also key aspects of the position. The role also involves customer service and participating in training to improve product and electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Use related tools and diagnostic equipment to maintain and repair customer-supplied product.
  • Ensure repairs are accurate and done in a highly professional manner.
  • Prioritize pending repair jobs.
  • Maintain job board ensuring accuracy of assigned jobs statuses.
  • Assist Supervisor in the accomplishment of department goals and objectives.
  • Perform high reliability soldering on repairs.
  • Contribute to maintaining department professional appearance by cleaning while working.
  • Follow ESD guidelines to ensure repair quality.
  • Use company programs extensively to record repair notes and other repair related information.
  • Assist other departments with technical information, troubleshooting techniques, telephone support, and setting up equipment - test equipment.
  • Evaluate and perform customer driven request.
  • Maintain records and correspondence of equipment sent in for repair.
  • Assist the Supervisor in locating and procuring parts, tools, or other aids to improve the department’s productivity.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • May participate at meetings as the department representative.
  • Participate in training programs to increase overall product or electrical knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
