About The Position

This role involves the diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair/replacement of faulty components in electronic equipment. The technician is responsible for ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet policy requirements and for reviewing progress against objectives and programs, while responding to the Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements

Technical background in electro-mechanical devices such as printers, kiosk/ATM devices, or equivalent experience.
Associate degree and/or 2-4 years of equivalent work experience in field service or similar industry.
Operate within division or department policy guidelines using nearly independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Escalate issues discovered while performing required tasks.
Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic computer skills are required.
Self-starter and motivated to perform effectively during times of high demand.
Use and understanding of test/lab equipment such as Voltmeters, Power Supplies, Bench Tools, Soldering Equipment, etc.
Assembly and disassembly of electronic equipment.
Troubleshooting of electronic equipment.
Exposure to limited amounts of noise.
Primary language used in daily operations is English.
Read and interpret documents, procedure manuals and various correspondence from both internal and external.
Speak effectively, both individually and before groups of both external customers and/or various levels of employees within the organization.
Able to take accountability and responsibility for business target delivery and decision making.

Nice To Haves

Certification in information technology or process improvement training desired.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintenance of electronic equipment such as Barcode Readers, Mobile Computers, POS Machines, Fusers, Printers, etc.
Replacement of faulty components such as connectors, cables, fuses, etc.
Replacement of cosmetics deemed worn out or unacceptable based on Peak Technologies’ quality guidelines.
Software and firmware updates to electronic equipment.
Maintain cost-effective levels through good practices, judgment, and utilization of time, equipment, and inventory of new/used parts.
Minimize and decrease repeat-repairs.
Record entry for repaired devices into Peak Technologies Tech Parts Inventory System.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
