About The Position

The Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of technology equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a technology repair technician or similar role.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues.
  • Proficient understanding and application of Windows and Microsoft Office software products.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, and other technology products.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and manage multiple repair tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. regularly, but not for long periods

  • Primarily office-based setting with a mix of administrative and hands-on tasks involving Team Collaboration: This role involves frequent interaction with multiple departments.
  • Occasional requirements for assisting in other areas as needed to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift and move items up to 60 lbs. regularly, with occasional heavier lifting as required.
  • Active Work: This role involves long periods of standing, walking, bending, and moving items throughout the office and warehouse.
  • Expected Work Schedule: Regular business hours, with occasional overtime during peak periods or special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose hardware and software issues on a variety of POS technology devices, including computers, monitors, printers, etc.
  • Perform repairs, upgrades, and replacement of components as needed, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
  • Install and configure operating systems and software applications.
  • Conduct preventative and restorative maintenance and cleaning of equipment to extend its lifespan and prevent future issues.
  • Test repaired devices to ensure proper functionality and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and service history.
  • Stay current with industry developments, trends, and technologies through continuous learning.
  • Assist with month-end physical inventory count and reconciliation.
  • Other duties as requested by supervisor.
