Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of visual inspection, part handling, component assembly, and barcode scanning.
  • Basic ability to test, disassemble and repair returned products.
  • Navigates SAP, Agile and Documentum systems with assistance.
  • Solving simple math equations and the ability to perform tasks through verbal communication.
  • Good manual dexterity to assemble electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.
  • Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
  • Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required sit; use hands and fingers, to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Visual acuity necessary to do the job safely and effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • ERP and Complaints database experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook) preferred.
  • Basic CNC and bead blasting skills preferred.
  • Experience in the medical device industry or similar preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, multilayered work environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a variety of hand-operated tools and electronic equipment to repair products specified on work orders using standard work instructions and inspection procedures.
  • Performs incoming evaluations and identify failure mode of returned product using a variety of factors.
  • May support daily product testing by performing FCO (Final Checkout), FCL (Final Check List) and other automated or manual electrical tests.
  • Tests products use a variety of tools which may include computer programs, Digital Multi Meters, Oscilloscopes, light measurement equipment, digital and analog electrical test equipment.
  • Record test results and findings into forms or database applications.
  • Responsible for accessing and following packaging instructions and work instructions from PLM and Document management systems based on product structure requirements.
  • Prepares, issues, and kits materials based upon the Repair Work Order Pick List requirements according to work instructions and departmental guidelines.
  • Performs inspection of work completed and documentation to assure correct specifications and functional criteria have been met.
  • Performs daily cleaning of the work area and initiates “Area Clearance” to maintain material traceability at the workstation.
  • Performs or initiates required Preventive Maintenance schedules on the equipment and tooling within the repair department.
  • Support department with internal/external audits and non-conformances (NCRs)
  • Ensure all departmental procedures and Good Document Practices (GDP) are followed.
  • Provides department management with input for new products, processes, procedures, and fixture development.
  • Ability to work on multiple process steps or lines adjusting and reprioritizing work as necessary.
  • Must accurately transact Service work order data into ERP.
  • Participate in required company training activities related to products and processes supporting medical device manufacturing.
  • Maintain and follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) work environment procedures.
