The Operations Team Member (OTM) IV is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems. The incumbent generally resolves issues by following departmental guidelines and standard work or making changes based on root cause corrective actions. This position will be on the repair team supporting the engine production line, test, as needed, to meet daily production requirements and move engines out of Out of Process.

Requirements

  • Five years of engine mechanic experience in any of the following areas: automotive or diesel engines is required.
  • One year of vocational program (after high school) or equivalent on the job training program.
  • Must be able to perform basic mechanical repairs which include: valve adjustments, flow timing, trouble-shoot timing calibration/oil pressures.
  • Must be able to perform Electrical Testing.
  • Must be proficient in reading and understanding blue prints/schematics.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills.
  • Must have problem solving and troubleshooting mechanical skills.
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have good working knowledge or hand tools and various power tools (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.)
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment.
  • Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 10 hours.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment.
  • Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 10 hours.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.
