About The Position
Repair Tech B identifies and repairs defects in boat surfaces. The role inspects completed fiberglass boat bodies, hulls, and parts for defects and blemishes, then repairs them by sanding, buffing, spraying, or dabbing. The technician works with a team to physically move boats in the production area and performs other duties as assigned. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. The position involves choosing from limited alternatives to resolve problems, applying occasional independent judgment to complete assignments, and often making recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in boat manufacturing.
- Skilled at using hand tools.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Safety-conscious.
- Attention to fine detail.
