About The Position

Transco Rail Services, a part of Marmon Holdings (backed by Berkshire Hathaway), is seeking a Repair Supervisor to lead frontline operations. This role involves ensuring quality and safety standards, and driving daily execution on the shop floor. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and is passionate about leading teams and delivering operational results. Transco Rail Services repairs railcars and supports customers in transportation, energy, and manufacturing through a network of facilities and field service teams across North America.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial operations
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and AAR Interchange Rules
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Experience leading in a regulated environment
• Background in continuous improvement or Lean practices

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees across repair activities
• Drive safe work practices and ensure adherence to all safety standards
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FRA, AAR, company, and customer requirements
• Monitor daily production, track work in process, and update job status
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate progress updates
• Partner with Quality and EHS teams to maintain compliance and audit readiness
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of employees
• Manage materials and equipment in coordination with Materials leadership
• Identify improvement opportunities and support process enhancements
• Address employee relations matters, including coaching and corrective actions
