About The Position

These positions are on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00am – 3:30pm) and are located are our Loves Park Campus, where innovation, precision, and quality are at the heart of everything we do. This role will provide support and operations in products such as servo valves, actuators, fuel metering units, specialty valves or pumps. Requirements

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrates fundamental understanding of mechanical systems and components for accurate repair assistance.
  • Tool Handling: Selects, maintains, and operates hand and power tools in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Precision Measuring: Uses calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions against strict tolerances.
  • Component Disassembly and Reassembly: Follows technical diagrams to dismantle and rebuild equipment methodically.
  • Basic Troubleshooting: Applies standard diagnostic procedures to identify simple faults and accurately report findings.
  • Technical Documentation Literacy: Reads and interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and work orders to guide tasks.
  • Safety Procedure Compliance: Adheres to established safety protocols and utilizes personal protective equipment consistently.
  • Quality Inspection: Conducts routine inspections and records measurements to ensure parts meet specification standards.
  • Time Management: Prioritizes and completes assigned tasks within allotted timeframes under close supervision.
  • Team Communication: Shares clear updates with peers and supervisors to coordinate work and promptly escalate issues.
  • Technical Capability: Understands and follows basic technical instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Evaluates product and determines component replacement needs for low-complexity product.
  • Critical Thinking: Identifies gap-to-standard and resolves or escalates them per standard processes/procedures.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrates basic understanding of mechanical systems and components. Can tear down, assemble and test products. Uses hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively. Completes basic changeovers and setups.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and Reassemble Components: Uses specialized hand tools and instruction manuals to carefully dismantle and rebuild aircraft parts following detailed workorders.
  • Conduct Visual Inspections: Examines mechanical and structural components under supervision to identify wear, corrosion, or damage using measurement tools and gauges.
  • Execute Routine Cleaning: Applies cleaning solutions and techniques to remove debris, oil, and contaminants from parts in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Perform Simple Adjustments: Aligns, measures, and calibrates parts to specified tolerances using precision tools and gauges as instructed by senior technicians.
  • Document Maintenance Activities: Records inspection findings, repair steps, and tool usage in maintenance logs and digital systems adhering to documentation guidelines.
  • Teardown, Assembly and Test Product: Follows documented procedures to accurately and efficiently teardown, assemble and test product using specified tools and equipment.
  • Process: Coordinates with appropriate members and cross-functional teams to perform analysis, investigation, work scope of product.
  • Quality: Conducts inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of products and records and maintains data per operating standards.
  • Organization & Cleanliness: Adheres to 5S principles by keeping workstations clean, organized, and free of unnecessary items. Follows established guidelines to ensure tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Safety Mindset: Adheres to all established safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements; maintains mindfulness of self and surrounding work area to promote a safe working environment.
