Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of mechanical, automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or industrial repair experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of industrial engine assembly.
  • Ability to lift a minimum weight of 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble large industrial engines and components using hand and power tools.
  • Clean engine parts and components using appropriate shop equipment and procedures.
  • Inspect components for wear, damage, corrosion, and other conditions requiring repair or replacement.
  • Use service manuals, drawings, and work instructions to support teardown and inspection activities.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to evaluate component condition.
  • Properly identify, organize, and stage parts throughout the teardown and overhaul process.
  • Document inspection findings and communicate issues to supervisors and other technicians.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe, organized work area.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of teardown, cleaning, and overhaul processes.
