About The Position

The Repair Engineer offers technical support and expertise to the workshop team, commercial team, and customers. Utilizing extensive experience and knowledge of turbomachinery, the Repair Engineer devises repair and upgrade solutions for both OEM and non-OEM equipment. Additionally, the Repair Engineer ensures that all assigned repair projects adhere to rigorous safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in rotating equipment, including three (3) or more years in a project engineer role.
  • In-depth knowledge of OEM practices, equipment, procedures, guidelines and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with 2D and/or 3D design.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally, as well as independently and willingness to travel worldwide on occasion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare work scopes for inspection and repair, and communicate recommendations to the workshop team.
  • Review inspection reports and deliver advanced recommendations.
  • Prepare and review technical and financial final repair reports.
  • Identify and assess repair opportunities, notify stakeholders, and propose solutions for components not meeting standards.
  • Evaluate customer repair scopes for feasibility and manage corrective actions for repair non-conformances.
  • Support Regional Engineering and Product Center experts with technical expertise.
  • Develop procedures and work instructions for non-OEM equipment repairs.
  • Collaborate with workshop, HSEQ, and Sales teams to include the Repair Shop in client Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs).
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Maintain communication with Product Centers to ensure compliance with OEM standards and provide guidance to sales management in developing technical job scopes.
