About The Position

The Engine Alliance (EA) is a 50/50 joint venture between Pratt & Whitney (PW) and GE Aerospace (GE) established to develop, produce, and support the GP7000 engine which powers the Airbus A380 aircraft. In support of EA business objectives, the Repair Aftermarket Manager will focus on developing and driving execution of delivery plans for P&W / Partner owned hardware in the GP engine, working together with Production Chief, Program team, and Operations. This role reports to the EA Operations Director. The position requires approximately 20% travel (domestic and international, typically with advanced notice).

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and 8 years of experience; Or an Advanced Degree and 5 years of experience to include Operations, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul or aerospace
  • Experience developing and or implementing aftermarket repairs
  • This is a leadership, decision-making, and influential position requiring exceptional communication and teamwork skills interacting with all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, plan, communicate, execute action plan with quantifiable results across cross functional teams.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to adjust schedule to support customers + 8 hours to US EST.
  • Ability to operate with limited guidance utilizing “commander’s intent” to accomplish business objectives.
  • Individual must work well across organizations, with partners/competitors

  • Experience and a deep understanding of the following areas is desirable: project management, supplier management, part transitions, procurement, MRO operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Production Chief and Operations groups to identify key focus parts that do not support the MRO forecast rate.
  • Manage and prioritize repair industrialization and source demonstration activity working with the PW repairs development group and the GP7000 aftermarket repair supplier network.
  • Develop robust delivery plans for critical parts for repaired parts value streams, working with program partners and suppliers.
  • Work with the GP7000 used serviceable materials (USM) Manager and CSA to ensure that parts are driven through the repair process defining appropriate minimum stock requirements of USM.
  • Coordinate and lead discussions on repair pricing and strategy with engine alliance finance, partners and PW internal repairs organizations.
  • Maintain and process modifications to the Official GP7000 Service Value List and Component Repair Directory.
  • Manage all aspects of repair for engine alliance beginning with requests from customers, identified opportunities for cost savings, developing repairs, establishing suppliers, industrializing repair for incorporation into the fleet.
  • Responsible for repair / replace decision for FMA and T&M scenarios.
  • Focal for LPC module overhauls out of CTS Engines, in coordination with onsite resident center manager.
  • Support senior level presentation materials for senior level meetings, such as PW program reviews and EA Board meetings.
  • Present at various internal reviews, collaborate with internal groups in west.
  • Participate in the development of operations forecast.
  • Support GP7000 IPMT.
