About The Position

GFS Chemicals is seeking a Repack Associate to join our RAC Division at our Powell location. The Repack Associate will assist in packaging, shipment, and order fulfilment for the Optical Standards laboratory. They will bottle various standard solutions, perform quality spot checks, and maintain packaging and shipping documentation. They will ensure accuracy of order fulfilment and inventory. The OSL Repack Associate will assist with preparation of vials and bottles to maintain the quality of finished product. They will participate in the ISO 9001, 17025, 17034 standards and quality management program of GFS.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Safety conscious
Attention to detail
Good documentation practices
Ability to read weights and measures
Familiarity with basic computer programs (e.g. Windows, outlook, internet browsers)
Proficient reading and writing skills, including reading small print
Ability to follow hazard handling and waste disposal protocols
Ability to work well in teams and alone

Responsibilities

Fill finished good products from bulk solutions
Ensure accurate fill volume, quantity, batch, label, and shipping information for orders
Carry out all procedures with adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17034
Review documentation and labels for accuracy
Accurately document current inventory, consumption of inventory, and update the supervisor and/or purchasing team of inventory needs
Process fulfilment of orders and shipments
Engage with other departments to fulfill orders involving multiple product lines
Communicate to supervisor, customer service representatives, sales representatives, and other personnel the order status, inventory quantities, and projected timelines as needed
Adhere to all Procedures, Policies, and Guidelines (PPG), item preps, packaging checklists, and specific customer needs
Ensure packaging needs are met for each order to maintain the integrity of finished goods through shipping
Ensure batches deemed for finished good creation are currently within the time period approved by Quality Control
Input data as necessary into electronic systems
Assist in unique preparations of vials and bottles as is required by particular solutions and customers
Adhere and participate in the GFS safety program
Assist in proactive problem-solving and improvements to efficiency, quality, and safety
