About The Position

The REO Title team at Solidifi performs a variety of functions crucial to the initial phase of real estate transactions that involve the sale of real estate owned (“REO”) properties. The REO Title Specialist inspects recorded legal documents and evaluates the chain of title (conveyances to determine vesting), lien position, exceptions, restrictions, and performs preliminary lien clearance, including foreclosure clearance, before delivering a title package to the client. Other documents which may need to be created and/or reviewed for accuracy by the REO title department and provided to the client include municipal lien searches, title grading sheets, copies of supporting search documents, and documents specific to the foreclosure such as state-required affidavits and proof of notice of foreclosure documents.
