About The Position

Quinn Rental Services operates through The Cat® Rental Store in Southern and Central California. Our fleet includes the latest models from Caterpillar and over 70 other manufacturers. This selection gives you access to well-maintained, high-performance equipment whenever you need it. The Quinn Rental Technician is responsible for cleaning machines, organizing equipment and components in the yard, and performing light maintenance to machines and components used in the heavy equipment industry.

Requirements

Understanding of electrical, hydraulics, engine components
Required to work overtime if needed

Nice To Haves

One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school
Two to four years mechanical experience or equivalent education and experience

Responsibilities

Cleaning machines
Organizing equipment and components in yard
Performing light maintenance to machines and components
Inspect equipment
PM services, 90-day bits, ansi
Troubleshooting equipment
Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures
Ability to operate equipment and function test machines
Follows all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area
Understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipment
Completes all documents associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner
Assist in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components
Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls
Perform other work-related duties as directed or assigned
