About The Position

Eaglecrest Ski Area is seeking qualified individuals to fill Rental Technician positions for the upcoming winter season. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, customer service-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role involves assisting customers with equipment fitting, ensuring they have the proper ski or snowboard gear, and interacting with a diverse range of Juneau residents. Mid-week shifts will primarily involve working with school-aged students participating in group lessons.

Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency in adjusting rental ski bindings.
Demonstrated proficiency in waxing rental equipment.
Continued employment is dependent upon passing an annual binding certification exam.
Must be 18 years old at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service.
Assist users in proper boot fitting.
Help select proper size ski or snowboard equipment.
Verify customer information on rental contracts using the point-of-sale system.
Perform calculations for proper DIN settings based on guest abilities and size.
Adjust multiple styles and brands of bindings (training provided).
Perform maintenance on equipment, including testing bindings and waxing skis and snowboards.
Scan equipment back into inventory using the point-of-sale system.
Properly place equipment back into storage areas after disinfection and inspection for damage.
Document and send damaged gear for servicing or remove it from use.
