About The Position

RED Mountain Resort is now hiring Rental Technicians for the 2026/27 Winter Season! This position is responsible for outfitting guests with rental equipment appropriate for their skier/boarder type and skill level, with a mandate to provide as safe a guest experience as possible and create a fun and positive environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Binding certification required (training provided).
  • Ski and/or snowboard product knowledge
  • Customer service experience required
  • Cash handling and POS transaction processing required
  • Able to negotiate stairs
  • Able to lift heavy ski and snowboard equipment up to and down from racking systems and benches
  • Able to adjust ski and snowboard equipment
  • Able to be on feet for entire shift
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Good team player
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Ability to maintain a professional and safe environment
  • Ability to create a positive and fun atmosphere for guests
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, professional attitude in a high-pressure environment
  • Safety-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently guide customer through rental process
  • Ensure rental agreements are completely filled out (to satisfy legal requirements)
  • Create a professional, positive impression for the beginner and seasoned guest alike
  • Maintain an orderly, safe and fun environment
  • Be knowledgeable about all Red Sports rental equipment and its proper use
  • Ensure guest understands how to operate bindings
  • Answer guests’ questions and concerns
  • Provide guest with appropriate equipment based on guest’s statistics
  • Accurately adjust bindings according to industry standard (must have binding certification)
  • Preset skis for large groups before arrival
  • Transfer skis to outside racks in morning, prior to group’s arrival
  • Set up students with equipment who were not on preset list
  • Maintain orderly and steady flow of line up; process group quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain clean, tidy, safe workspace
  • Relieve other staff for breaks (retail, service, high performance)
  • Inventory equipment
  • Restock supplies
  • Wax and/or tune equipment as per service technician’s instructions
