The Rental Service Agent is a dual-focused role: Customer Experience Champion for rentals and Sales Specialist for RV purchase demos and conversions. This position is crucial to ensuring customers leave satisfied, whether they are beginning a rental journey or purchasing their future RV. The Rental Service Agent executes all customer-facing rental operations and performs professional RV sales demonstrations to convert leads into buyers. This is a hands-on, customer-centric role combining service, product presentation, operational execution, and follow-up sales management. Across rentals and sales, this role ensures every vehicle, every interaction, and every customer moment reflects Indie Campers’ high standards.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in customer service, sales, hospitality, rental, or automotive environments.
  • Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical RV/vehicle systems.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, solution-oriented under pressure.
  • Proficiency using rental systems.
  • Organised, detail-focused, and proactive in managing leads or customers.
  • Driving License (Category B) required.
  • English proficiency.
  • Able to stand, walk, and move around the depot for extended periods throughout the day.
  • Able to lift or carry light to moderate items (10–15 kg).
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and peak-season schedules.
  • Ability to interact with customers in different emotional states (excited, stressed, confused) with calmness and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct check-ins/check-outs, briefings, and provide ongoing rental support.
  • Handle service recovery and emergencies with empathy.
  • Prepare and perform RV demos, showcasing features, specs, and customer-specific needs.
  • Ensure smooth handovers and all documentation is in order.
  • Track leads, demos, and follow-ups in CRM.
  • Convert rental customers into sales opportunities, and support the RV Sales District and City Lead to meet targets.
  • Maintain knowledge of Indie Campers RV models and perform basic system demos (lighting, gas, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed.
