About The Position

The Rental Sales Associate will be responsible for acting as the front line sales agent for the rental of vehicles to the Company's current lease and commercial rental accounts as well as potential commercial rental customers and consumer household needs. This requires the Rental Sales Representative to work cross functionally across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Asset Management while utilizing excellent customer communication skills.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years or more in marketing or sales required
  • Strong interpersonal, customer relations and problem solving skills and the proven ability to effectively organize tasks and manage time
  • PC literacy
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfort with driving large vehicles, including 28' straight trucks and tractors with standard transmission and hydraulic or air brakes, within congested areas
  • The willingness to work shifts and weekends when required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing (asset), preferred
  • Bilingual an asset

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the rental of vehicles to the Company's current lease and commercial rental accounts, as well as potential commercial rental customers and consumer household needs
  • Must work cross functionally across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Asset Management while utilizing excellent customer communication skills
  • Handles sales and sales process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation
  • Is responsible for executing the business unit's marketing plan
  • Maintains current accurate data within the company's marketing database
  • Is responsible for generating rental, lease and used vehicle sales leads
  • Maintains and expand relationships with existing customer base
  • Maximizes operational effectiveness by coordinating overall inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Drives profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships
  • Is responsible for overall satisfaction for all internal and external customers
  • Reconciles all customer concerns, issues, disputes in order to maintain the ongoing relationship
  • Maintains composure when addressing stressful situations
  • Clearly articulates Ryder's product and service offerings
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
