Rental Ops Technician
About The Position
As a member of the technical operations team, the Rental Ops Technician plays a critical role in maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and deploying environmental monitoring and industrial safety instrumentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to excellence in customer service and technical support. This is an on-site position reporting in person to our Loveland, Co location. Requirements
- Ability to work and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure. Must be able to ramp up quickly to fulfill last minute orders and use down time productively
- Ability to self-schedule the workday. Must be able to re-prioritize and move from one task to another quickly and frequently without supervision
- Forward thinking and planning to handle the uneven workload
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products
- Team player with the ability to interact with other departments
- Attention to detail with some aptitude for working with and calibrating scientific instruments.
- Willing to work with dirty equipment which requires a hepatitis series of shots (Paid by In-Situ) or must sign a waiver declining the shots
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of experience in instrumentation, calibration, or technical service preferred
Responsibilities
- Process incoming rental equipment which involves cleaning, downloading data, calibrating and entering transactions in a database
- Fulfill outgoing rentals, which involves determining ship priority based on due date and ship method, printing pick list, assembling and testing outgoing equipment, recording and entering equipment numbers into a database
- Maintain a neat and organized workspace.
- Assist cable wash operator by operating a cable spooler and occasionally cleaning dirty cables as needed
- Work with inside sales team via phone and email, to resolve order issues
- Update charts and spreadsheet on a daily basis
