About The Position

The Rental Management Trainee program is designed to be completed in 18-24 months, providing comprehensive training in general Rental Management, as well as specific areas such as Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and Sales/Marketing. The trainee will be involved in operational and administrative tasks to support location and regional management. This program is fast-paced and covers all aspects of the business unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a similar related degree.
  • Must be computer literate (intermediate required).
  • One (1) year or more of customer service experience with issue resolution preferred.
  • Ability to relocate in the region/US at the conclusion of the training program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High energy, self-motivated, self-directed person who can focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices.
  • Possesses a high degree of common sense and the aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Must have valid legal authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Handling sales and processes for inbound calls and outbound solicitation.
  • Maintaining current and accurate data within the company's marketing database.
  • Generating rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads.
  • Managing all rental asset processes, including vehicle preventative maintenance and cleanliness standards.
  • Meeting overall Ryder market share goals by successfully executing sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintaining compliance with company, local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Reconciling customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain ongoing relationships and grow the customer base.
  • Performing the role of On-Call Representative on a voluntary basis or as scheduled by the Supervisor.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
