About The Position

The Rental Fleet Condition Monitoring Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the health and performance of the rental equipment fleet through proactive monitoring, customer communication, and technical response. The CM Supervisor plays a key role in fleet utilization by proactively dispatching techs to alerts and ensuring rental units are maintained in optimal operating condition. The goal is to minimize downtime, extend asset life, and deliver exceptional service to rental customers.

Requirements

  • A successful candidate must have 3-5 years' experience in the repair and maintenance of Caterpillar or other major brands of earth-moving equipment and/or an Associate's degree from accredited college or university in a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office Suite software.
  • Minimum six months' experience operating a computer in Windows based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the condition monitoring team, including scheduling, dispatching, and prioritizing technician tasks.
  • Monitor and analyze telematics and diagnostic data to identify machine health issues, trends, and service needs.
  • Dispatch technicians based on machine alerts and inspection requirements; determine appropriate service response based on incoming data.
  • Communicate proactively with customers to provide status updates and address concerns related to fleet health and service timelines.
  • Coordinate with service, maintenance, and rental teams to schedule and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records and work orders of machine health, service response, and customer interactions.
  • Assist in reporting and analyzing fleet health KPIs such as machine uptime, repair times, and service responsiveness.
  • Oversee the implementation of predictive maintenance strategies using condition monitoring tools (e.g., fluid analysis, GPS tracking, etc.).
  • Ensure company policies, safety policies, and work processes are followed and in compliance.
  • Complete assigned tasks within required time deadlines.
  • Supervise a team of technicians.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Manage the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
