About The Position

The rental mechanic position is responsible for keeping all of our equipment clean and correctly maintained. This role involves providing excellent customer service, performing repairs and maintenance on rental equipment, and assisting with various store operations. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with one to three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver's license is mandatory for equipment delivery and pickup.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED diploma or one to three years of related experience or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years knowledge of general machine maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Nice To Haves

• Chauffeur’s license preferred but not required.
• Stihl certification preferred, will provide training to obtain this certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
• Cleans all rental equipment.
• Conducts repairs and maintenance on rental equipment; generates purchase orders for repairs or required maintenance.
• Purchases small tools and any supplies needed to repair the equipment.
• Inspects equipment on a regular basis to comply with company safety policies.
• Assists in updating DMV registration and current insurance.
• Checks out customers at the rental counter, including completing contracts, taking payment and instructing customer on how to use the item.
• Deliver and pick up rental items as needed.
• Set up and take down rental equipment if requested.
• Help load and unload equipment as needed.
• Repair Stihl certified equipment.
• Help out in lumber yard and inside the store as needed.
