As part of the evolution of operations and to ensure optimal coverage across Canada, Manulift is opening a permanent position for a Rental Operations Coordinator. This role is part of the national rental team and directly contributes to the management and optimization of the fleet at a national level. The incumbent acts as a central point between Sales, Service, Transport, and partners to ensure operational flow, prioritization of requests, and decision-making aligned with national objectives. The role supports operations across Canada, with a specific focus on covering Western Canadian markets, particularly Alberta.

Requirements

  • Experience in coordination within an operational environment (rental, logistics, service, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to manage priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong operational judgment and ability to make autonomous decisions.
  • Ability to influence and mobilize stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing non-standard situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and analytical mindset.
  • Bilingual (advanced English required for Western Canada interactions).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Salesforce and P21 (asset) or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate rental, demo, loaner, and sublease requests across Canada.
  • Prioritize requests based on availability, timelines, and overall business value.
  • Actively contribute to national fleet management (allocation, availability, optimization).
  • Ensure end-of-day operational coverage for Western Canadian markets.
  • Make timely decisions in environments with multiple constraints (inventory, transport, timelines, clients).
  • Manage exception cases (equipment shortages, billing discrepancies, special requests).
  • Resolve complex situations by engaging the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate subleases with external partners (negotiation, follow-up, billing).
  • Ensure rigorous follow-up of active files and equipment returns.
  • Maintain data integrity within systems (P21, Salesforce).
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, and Logistics teams across Canada.
