We are currently seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-service driven Rental Car Assistant to support our busy service department. If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and keeping a fast-paced environment running smoothly, we’d love to meet you! The Rental Car Assistant is responsible for assisting customers with rental vehicle pick-ups and returns, this role works closely with both the service and sales departments to deliver a smooth, professional, and efficient rental process for every customer. This position will also serve as a porter, service agent (vehicle cleaner), and Rental Agent trainee.

Requirements

• Previous customer service or automotive dealership experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with rental management software is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
• Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and assist with rental car pick-ups and returns
• Assist with rental agreements and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately
• Inspect vehicles before and after rental for damage, cleanliness, and fuel levels
• Coordinate rental vehicle availability and vehicle movements on the lot
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, damage reports, and rental details
• Work closely with the service department to manage rental car reservations and scheduling
• Assist with vehicle cleaning and light detailing when needed
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
