Renovation Project Manager
About The Position
A growing construction company is seeking an experienced Renovation Project Manager to take full ownership of commercial renovation projects from startup through closeout. This position is based in Maryland and requires regular travel across the company’s renovation portfolio. The Renovation Project Manager will be responsible for overall project execution, including schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and project closeout. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who can independently manage multiple moving parts, anticipate challenges, and keep projects progressing on schedule and within budget.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial construction or renovation project management experience preferred
- Proven experience independently managing commercial renovation projects
- Strong experience managing project schedules and budgets
- Experience coordinating and managing subcontractors
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to take ownership of projects from startup through closeout
- Excellent organization, follow through, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently and making project level decisions
- Must be comfortable with regular travel
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of commercial renovation projects from startup through closeout
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and overall execution
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors throughout each phase of the project
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide consistent project communication
- Track project progress, costs, deadlines, and outstanding items
- Coordinate materials, vendors, subcontractors, and other project requirements
- Identify potential project issues and proactively drive solutions
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Maintain strong communication between clients, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Oversee project documentation and closeout requirements
- Travel regularly to project locations as required
