About The Position

MongoDB is looking for a driven and results‑oriented Renewal Specialist to join our Renewals Team in the Americas region. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a world‑class renewal experience for our customers while driving strong retention outcomes for MongoDB’s business. Success in this role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, operational excellence, deal formulation and negotiation experience, a strong aptitude to learn MongoDB products and policy, and solid relations with internal stakeholders. We're looking to speak with candidates based in Austin, Texas for our hybrid working model. As a Renewals Specialist at MongoDB, you will be responsible for managing the renewal process for our customer base, ensuring the seamless continuation of their partnerships with MongoDB and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will work closely with our sales and customer success teams to offer an outstanding customer experience, ultimately contributing to the growth and retention of our customer portfolio within your territory.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a customer facing sales or revenue role within a fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Demonstrated experience owning deals or commercial outcomes through close, including renewals, expansions, or contract execution
  • A track record of strong performance against defined targets, metrics, or goals
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to a diverse audience, both internally and externally
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple opportunities to be managed at the same time
  • Talent for building solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed

  • Prior exposure to database, cloud, and infrastructure technology is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned customer accounts, owning timelines, coordination, and execution to drive strong retention outcomes
  • Work on upcoming renewals and engage with customers 120 days in advance to secure timely renewals
  • Prepare renewal quotes and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their usage, needs, and challenges
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights and solutions to maximize the value they receive from MongoDB
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to track renewal performance, forecast renewals, and identify at-risk accounts
  • Provide regular updates to the management team on renewal status and key metrics
  • Work closely with the sales, customer success, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to renewals
