Requirements

Level 1 General Insurance License (or actively pursuing)
Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills to complete assignments efficiently and within structured timelines
An eye for detail to handle renewals and policy changes with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Positive, driven, and disciplined attitude
Self-motivated to meet competitive individual and team-related targets
Strong independent work ethic
Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment
Strong written language, and professional communication skills
Flexible and adaptable to change
Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets an asset

Responsibilities

Collaborate with underwriters to support a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Execute underwriting support functions to ensure efficient workflow and compliance.
Review and assess renewal submissions to evaluate risk, determine premiums, coverage limits, and policy terms in alignment with underwriting standards and guidelines.
Collect and analyze policy information, securing underwriter approval as required within delegated authority.
Prepare, quote, and bind renewal terms and conditions in accordance with company underwriting standards.
Conduct regular follow-ups with brokers and stakeholders to obtain renewal information and facilitate timely processing.
Apply retention strategies to maintain existing business and contribute to team performance goals.
Manage endorsement and cancellation requests, ensuring accurate premium calculations within individual underwriting authority.
Respond promptly and professionally to underwriting-related inquiries from brokers and internal stakeholders.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.
