About The Position

As a Renewal Manager at Gong, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our SMB customers continue to see value and renew their partnership with Gong. You’ll drive the end-to-end contract renewal process, identify expansion opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will also contribute to improving efficiency and retention through our renewals playbook, operational workflows, and customer engagement strategies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in renewals, account management, customer success, or sales in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and negotiating contracts with a strong renewal/expansion success rate.
  • Experience working with Salesforce and Gong, particularly managing opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, able to handle objections and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong business acumen, understanding customer needs and financial drivers to craft compelling renewal pitches.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, managing a high-volume book of business efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining a proactive, strategic approach.

Responsibilities

  • Own the renewal process from initial outreach to contract execution, ensuring on-time renewals and reducing churn.
  • Lead commercial negotiations by developing pricing proposals, overcoming objections, and ensuring win-win contract agreements.
  • Drive customer engagement through live interactions, leveraging data insights to reinforce Gong's value and alignment with customer goals.
  • Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts by uncovering needs for additional seats, products, or services.
  • Manage renewal forecasting and pipeline in Salesforce, tracking renewal progress, risks, and deal velocity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Digital Customer Success, Sales, and Operations to accelerate renewals and improve processes.
  • Develop and refine renewal processes by advocating for system improvements and automation to increase efficiency.
  • Mitigate churn risk by identifying at-risk customers early and executing tailored renewal strategies.
  • Manage contract execution workflows, including quote creation, Salesforce opportunity management, order form generation, and tracking contracts to close.
