About The Position

Monitoring, Control and Compliance, Inc. (MCC) is a privately owned small business providing services to the solid waste industry. Founded in 2005, MCC has grown to approximately 65 employees and focuses on the operation and maintenance of landfill gas systems. These systems are installed to reduce methane emissions impacting the environment and provide a green energy source for clients. MCC offers training, a challenging career in the Landfill Gas Industry, and opportunities for growth and advancement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient use of Windows and Windows Office software (Excel, Outlook, Adobe).
  • Ability to maintain daily logs and obtain readings in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Proficient and safe use of hand tools.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to operate all-terrain vehicles in varying conditions.
  • Ability to speak and write professionally.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Organized self-starter with initiative.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens, background check, and motor vehicle records check.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous landfill gas system operation experience or education.
  • Knowledge of environmental sampling techniques.
  • Current OSHA 40 Hr. HAZWOPER.
  • Pipe fusion certificate.
  • Knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping, and instrumentation drawings.
  • Electrical, Chemical, and Mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operations and maintenance services for landfill gas collection systems to maintain maximum efficiency and compliant operation.
  • Perform routine on-site monitoring of system operations for compliance deadlines and contractual requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions.
  • Document daily activities, coordinates, communicates, and verifies corrective actions to maintain continuous compliance.
  • Follow all company and project safety policies and procedures.
  • Use required personal protective equipment at all times and perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the company truck, all-terrain vehicle, and all work areas.
  • Respond to after-hours call outs as needed.
