About The Position
The Renal Specialist Level I will identify the needs and priorities of the dialysis and apheresis patient through assessment. The Renal Specialist Level I plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The Renal Specialist Level I evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The Renal Specialist Level I is accountable for outcomes of patient care of assigned patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Current Alabama or multistate Nursing license required.
- Call is required.
Nice To Haves
- ICU and/or previous Dialysis experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify the needs and priorities of the dialysis and apheresis patient through assessment.
- Plan and delegate care based on patient needs.
- Evaluate the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes.
- Accountable for outcomes of patient care of assigned patients.
- Responsibility of the Dialysis staff to give supporting documentation for Renal Specialist II to the Dialysis Unit Charge Nurse.
