This is NOT a work from home position and the location is in Spirit Lake, IA. This is a part-time days position. The role involves supporting individuals with disabilities to fully participate in societal roles and maximizing opportunities for the development of individual relationships with community members. The professional will provide support and training as identified in the service plan, ensuring the individual's physical and mental needs are met, which may include hygiene, bathing/showering, toileting, escort, transition time, and meal time assistance. Teaching self-control and self-management skills, completing documentation, and supporting individuals in developing and carrying out a daily schedule of activities are key responsibilities. The role also involves assisting individuals with appointments and transportation, promoting personal safety, and being a TEAM PLAYER by fostering positive communication and working relationships. All established training and courses must be completed within timelines. Support will be provided to individuals with complex needs in community settings. The professional must be awake at all times to provide support through monitoring alerts from technology and/or providing direct virtual support as scheduled or needed. They will respond to urgent requests and escalate to dispatching back-up in-person staffing as needed.
